Osteopathy - from infant to adult
Specialized in perinatal (women in pregnancy, infants, postpartum)
Why I chose to work in this field:
First and foremost for the contact with the patient - we get to know the person and their journey leading them to consult with an osteopath. What I really like is the specific way each patient is taken care of through a global approach which takes into account all the different aspects of the patient's life. Fully understanding a patient who is suffering is just as important as understanding the patient’s pathology and symptoms.
Benefits for the patient:
In addition to relieving the specific symptom(s), osteopathy also aims to prevent future dysfunctions from occurring, thereby providing a sense of long-term, sustainable well-being. Balance is restored, the body moves and works freely, unrestrained and capable of effectively managing its own self-regulation.
Patients become empowered, by being actively encouraged to develop a strong sense of responsibility for their own health and wellbeing. I always strive to cultivate awareness in my patients so that they come to recognise how small habits can go a long way to bring about major changes, and that through this process he or she can start to recover good health. The greater the knowledge and understanding of your own body, with all its functions and needs, the more you will become the principle actor of your own good health and well-being.
